The campaign launched in November with a standard search structure and a general landing page. Traffic volume was steady, but conversion efficiency indicated a mismatch between search intent and the messaging experience. Leads were coming in, but at a higher cost than ideal for long-term scalability.

This is a common early-stage paid search scenario, where traffic exists, but intent alignment has not yet been fully optimized.

The biggest change was the development of a separate landing page focused on a more specific customer pain point. Instead of presenting broad service information, the new page spoke directly to the emotional and practical concerns users expressed in their search queries.

At the same time:

Search terms were continuously filtered to remove lower-intent traffic, ad messaging was aligned more closely to high-performing queries, and the conversion path on the page was simplified to reduce friction.

The goal was to move from traffic capture to intent-matched lead generation.

After the landing page and intent alignment changes:

Lead volume steadily increased
The campaign transitioned from low volume to consistent lead flow
Cost efficiency improved significantly by January

While December shows higher spend as the campaign scaled, January demonstrates the impact of structural improvements, cutting CPA nearly in half compared to early performance.

Before any landing page goes live, it is tested and optimized inside a development environment using Google Lighthouse and performance auditing tools. This ensures that pages meet high standards for speed, accessibility, and technical SEO before real traffic or ad spend is introduced.

This workflow protects campaign performance and prevents inaccurate data from entering client reporting systems. Publishing unfinished or test pages publicly can distort conversion data, inflate analytics noise, and affect ad platform learning signals. For this reason, demonstration pages are staged and performance-tested prior to deployment.

Live demo pages will be published separately as showcase environments. Production client pages are not publicly used for portfolio demonstration to ensure analytics integrity and accurate campaign reporting.

Effective marketing requires more than tracking form submissions. To improve lead quality and campaign optimization, I design and deploy custom behavioral tracking systems that capture user intent signals beyond basic conversions.

Using Google Tag Manager and GA4, landing pages are instrumented with custom key events programmed at strategic interaction points. These events reflect different stages of engagement and service interest, allowing performance analysis to move beyond simple “lead” metrics.

This structure allows campaigns to be optimized not just for volume, but for lead quality and behavioral depth.

Why This Matters

Standard analytics setups treat all conversions equally. In practice, not all leads have the same intent level.

Custom event architecture enables:

Identifying which traffic sources generate higher-intent users
Understanding where users drop off in the decision journey
Optimizing landing pages based on behavioral patterns
Training ad platforms using stronger intent signals

This approach improves both acquisition efficiency and lead quality over time.

For my business, I developed a complete client intake system designed to streamline onboarding and automate key processes. The system was built with Laravel on a modern Vite build and styled using Tailwind CSS for a clean, responsive interface. Leveraging Inertia.js and Vue.js, the platform functions as a seamless single-page application. I integrated two essential third-party APIs: Stripe for secure and efficient payment management, and SendGrid for scalable, reliable email delivery through SMTP. This project demonstrates my ability to combine advanced technologies into a cohesive solution that enhances both functionality and user experience.

I built custom functionality within a child theme that integrates the Google Maps API. Using JavaScript, the system dynamically pulls data from the WordPress backend to generate interactive map pins and detailed clinic information. I developed a custom Google Consent Plugin for WordPress to help clients meet Google Ads and Analytics compliance requirements. The plugin integrates seamlessly with Google Tag Manager, enabling websites to capture and manage user consent in line with privacy laws. It automatically handles Google’s four consent categories; Ad Storage, Ad User Data, Ad Personalization, and Analytics Storage.
